As the Graphic Designer for MOHAI, I created several design pieces including materials for museum programs and exhibits, as well as digital marketing ads and email blasts. I worked closely with the Art Director, Media Strategist and Photographer on all projects to ensure the final results were cohesive with the museum’s brand and vision.

Greet the Season

Greet the Season is a holiday event hosted by MOHAI and other organizations at Lake Union Park. I designed print and web deliverables to be used both within the museum and for advertising. The design required original illustrations and graphics.

Education Material

MOHAI hosts several day camp and youth education programs throughout the year. Older materials required content and design updates and were used by teachers and students visiting the museum. I worked to give the designs a cleaner look with youthful details and illustrations.

Exhibit Material

A favorite project was creating an original illustration to promote the Edible City: A Delicious Journey exhibit. I created a series of simple line illustrations of various plants and animals native to the Pacific Northwest to be featured in the exhibit. The designs were used as promotional assets on the website and printed on tote bags for the gift shop.

Digital Advertising

Web banners, ads, and email blasts to promote upcoming events and programs promoted through local media sites. The events were often hosted by local sponsors and it was necessary to incorporate other branded assets within MOHAI’s style guidelines.
