Prints in the Snow is a hardcover children's picture book designed to encourage outdoor exploration and introduce basic wildlife identification skills in an engaging way. The book was intended for ages two to five, which are critical early years for reading development and a time when children are eager to explore and learn about the world around them.
To help young readers feel immersed in the story the layout was designed as double spread to draw the eyes in and encourage exploration. After storyboarding, each page was hand drawn then digitally illustrated with an acrylic-like effect. As an illustrator and wildlife conservation advocate, Prints in the Snow was a labor of love. My hope is to inspire a new generation of hikers and environmentalists.
